We start the first of the weekends ‘club events’ off gently, but not too gently! The theme for the weekend may be ‘film noir’ but this event is most definitely blue:

Specially formed for this event we have ‘Some like it Blue’ – a trio of very talented musicians who are looking forward to ‘bluesin’ whilst you are boozing and bruisin
On Keyboards: Tim Lee Young, the Scottish-man who plays his keys like a wildfire!
On vocals: Sam Chara, the multi-lingual vocalist with true panache and charisma!

Bluejack
Collect your free playing tokens as you arrive and play ‘Bluejack’ – the Team Absolute version of ‘blackjack – try not to be distracted by the shiny sparkles and glitter that adorn our ‘bluepier’ and let lady luck be on your side. Even though its only a bit of fun (mainly because our bluepier is quite likely to make up the rules at any point, is easily distracted by shiny things and may also be slightly tipsy towards the end of the night) there are some prizes including vouchers for a free drink at the ‘cocktail bar’ for those who beat the dealer (at the game, not actually beating him) but most importantly there will be two pairs of tickets to the LAST EVER Club Subversion in November to be won.
– The Black and Blue Dungeon – There will be a small play area for those who just cant wait to play….
– The Blue Cocktail Bar – With blue themed drinks of course!
– Fluffy dressing gowns in the smoking area (which is not overlooked) – although we cant promise they are all blue!
Dress Code: Sophisticated Fetish, Velvet Suits, kink attire in blue, corsets, sharp suits, elegant gowns, dapper dandies – no jeans, no streetwear, suits must include a jacket, shirt and tie, make an effort – we will refuse entry if you have not made an effort

The theme is taken from Blue Velvet (1986) American neo-noir mystery film, written and directed by David Lynch. Blending psychological horror with film noir, the film stars Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern. The title is taken from Bobby Vinton’s 1963 song of the same name.
